The park is ranked among Kenya’s best national parks, it has deep gorges intersected with by stream, rivers and waterfalls. The park’s vegetation is home to a number of wildlife like elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, olive baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, warthogs, bush babies etc. Bird species include Jackson’s francolin, sparrow hawks, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds and plovers.

Day 1: transfer to Aberdare
on the first day of 3 days Aberdare national park the guide driver will pick you from your location after breakfast, a short briefing about the safari from him and embark on a drive of 100 km form Nairobi to Aberdare National Park. The drive will be very interesting and worth it because you will be able to spot the Kenya highlands as you cross through them, past pineapple and coffee plantations arriving at the park at lunch time, check in at the lodge and have a lunch break as you enjoy the lodge environment. After the rest head to the park for a game drive and bird watching. Later return to the lodge for dinner and night rest.

Day 2: Game drive and Mountain Hiking
Your required to wake up earlier than usual on day 2 of 3 days Aberdare national park and head to the park for a game drive, you will be in position to spot wildlife like elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, olive baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, warthogs, bush babies and bird species. After head to the park for late breakfast and lunch. After lunch drive to the floodlit waterhole where most the animals in the park come to quench their thirst, you will view the park’s salt licking elephants which come to the cave top lick some salt. Later go for a mountain range hike, you will hike the easiest range that favors even first-time hikers. After the long day return to the park for dinner, refreshment and rest.

Lunch will either be served on the way or in Nairobi depending on the time of arrival.
