Day 1: Kigali city Tour and transfer to Akagera National park

Our company representative will pick you from a hotel or Airport in Kigali, brief you about the safari and have a city tour in Kigali the capital of Rwanda. During the tour you will be able to visit places like the former president’s place, Genocide memorial sites, local markets among other. After the city tour lunch will be served. Time for a lunch break will be provided and continue with the city tour.

Later in the day start your journey to Akagera National Park, on reaching check to a prior booked accommodation for dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2:  Game drive and Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema

On this day you will wake up very early for breakfast and head to explore the only savannah park in Rwanda, the game drive will run for 3-4hours of exploring the park and getting a close encounter with its wildlife in a 4×4 Safari Vehicle. Possible sighting include Zebras, Hyenas, Oribi, Topi, Waterbucks, Bushbucks, Leopards, Rhinos, Impala, Elands among others. After the drive return to the lodge for a lunch and relaxation.

After Lunch you will have a relaxed a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see a number of the park’s water life like crocodiles, hippos, bird species like the endangered shoebill stork, African King Fishers among others. Later return to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Iby’iwacu culture explore

Day three of your Safari will start with a heavy breakfast, head to the wilderness for a simple game drive to more of the park’s wild species, you will drive straight out of the park after the drive and embark on a 4-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park home of Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda, you will arrive in perfect time for lunch and relaxation. Later in the evening you will go for cultural tour in the Iby’lwacu cultural village a former poacher’s market that has grown to be one of the best culture villages in Africa, you will experience to true African culture, try on some cultural clothes for photos, enjoy traditional dances, meet traditional healers among other activities. Later return back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and End of Safari

This is the last day of the safari and the most rewarding of them all. On this day your will wake up earlier than usual have a heavy breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of the forest, at exactly 8:00 am you will start you unforgettable adventure of a life time in the dense forest amidst the Virunga Volcanoes, the journey will be lead by an experienced park ranger guide, the search take form 4-6 hours depending on where the gorilla hosted their previous night and on your trekking speed, the hike might be tiring and requires one to be reasonably fee because you will pass through steep, narrow footpaths and muddy to reach to the jungle giants and get a close encounter with them in their natural environment, this is a once-in a life time adventure where you will watch them play, breast feed, eat, relax among others, you will be rewarded a trekking certificate after the trek. Later return to the lodge for a lunch break and relaxation.

After relaxation pack your pack your belonging head out of the park, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn more about the Rwanda people. Later your driver will drop you at your destination either hotel in Kigali or at the Airport to catch your flight back home.
