Day1: pick up and transfer to kibale national park
Depending on your location on the first day of the 3 days kibale national park safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will first brief you about the safari and then start the journey to kibale national park, the well famous for primate species with the largest population of chimpanzees and other attractions in kibale national park. It will take you 4-5 hours’ drive to reach kibale national park premises and on your arrival, you will check in the lodge called jungle lodge and after you will have your lunch while after your delicious lunch your driver guide will take for an evening natural walk around the park. After you will go all this day activities in kibale national park, back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day2: chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
Chimpanzee tracking
After an early breakfast at jungle lodge on your second day of the 3 days kibale national park safari, your driver guide will meet you up and transfer you to kanyanchu visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will be sub divided into different groups and every group will have 6 people to trek any chimpanzee family and after that you will start trekking in the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzee family.
During the trekking at kibale national park you will be able to view all animals in kibale national park, wildlife species including mammal species like buffaloes, baboon, blue monkey, vervet monkey among others. And once the chimpanzees under habitation are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with these endangered species in their natural habitat which rewards you an opportunity to observe their behaviors, watch them eating, habits, breastfeed, play, fight, mate, rest, you take photos and record the moments that you will show to your people back home after your safari tour. After that hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and drive you back to the lodge for your lunch.
Bigodi swamp walk
After your lunch at the lodge or hotels around kibale forest national park, you will go for an exciting nature walk in Bigodi swamp where you will be able to view a variety of birds in kibale national park, bird species like shoebill stork, the great blue turaco and so on. You will also view different plants and trees, animals like bushbuck, sitatunga, buffaloes, duikers and primates like black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons and so many others, you will view beautiful butterflies , enjoy the cool breeze, also take great photos among others. After the Bigodi swamp walk you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Departure to Kampala
After a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will meet your driver guide and start on your journey back to Kampala through Mbarara town where you have a stopover at Igongo cultural Centre for lunch and after the lunch you will continue with your journey to Kampala. On reaching to Kampala city, your driver guide will drop you at your convenient location.
