Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National park

Day 1 of  4 days gorilla trekking in volcanoes and lake kivu, our company representative will pick you form your location and go for a Kigali city tour, were you visit the former president’s palace, genocide memorial sites, museums among others. Time for a lunch break will be provided. After lunch drive to Volcanoes National Park, along the way you will see beautiful green grass covered hills which will awe about and know why Rwanda was is referred to as the land of a thousand hills. The hills were formed in a beautiful descending order that is very mesmerizing. You will reach the park in perfect time for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

On this day you will be required to wake up earlier than usual have a heavy breakfast and after transfer to the park office for briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the forest and allocation of a gorilla family to trek. At 7:00 am you will commence with you search in the forest lead by an armed park ranger who is very versed with the forest trails. Gorilla searching ranges from 2-6 hours of searching depending on the gorilla family your allocated and on their movement. Up on getting to the gorillas you will be allocated a full hour to spend with these apes in their natural home, gorilla trekking sounds alarming but it’s the most rewarding activity every wild animal lover should try out. Meeting these mountain gorillas will awaken the wild animals loving spirit hidden with in you. After the full hour trek back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded trekking certificates and head back to the lodge for lunch and rest. Later in the day transfer to Lake Kivu reaching ion perfect time for dinner and night rest.

Day 3: Transfer to lake Kivu

On your third day of the safari, you will wake up to a relaxed breakfast, after transfer to Lake Kivu where you will engage in a number of water activities like swimming, canoeing, water skiing, ziplining, sunbathing, Boat rides, bird watching, playing in sand among others. These activities will not leave you the same. Time a lunch break will be provided. Later in the day have dinner and peaceful overnight stay.
