Detailed Itinerary of 1 Day Gorilla Trekking from Kigali
On 1 Day Gorilla trekking from Kigali, Our guide driver will pick you up very early from your Hotel / accommodation after breakfast and at 4:30 start your 116 Km journey to Volcanoes National Park. On reaching the park head offices, you will be brief about the dos and don’ts while in the forest and after you will be given a gorilla family to track. The search is led by an armed ranger guide and takes about 30-8 hours of searching depending on where the gorillas hosted the previous night and on your hiking speed. On meeting these endangered species, you will be given a full hour to spend with them in their natural environment, enjoy the unique adventure as you watch them play, breast feed, eat among others. Encountering with these species is the most rewarding activity that no amount of words can express and the feeling drives watches away all the hustle and hard work you went through to get to them. You will be allowed to take as many photos as you wish with non-flash light camera. You will get a chance to spot other primates alongside gorillas like Golden Monkeys and others.
After the full hour, you will slowly trek back to the park head quarters where you will be rewarded trekking certificates to justify your contribution to conservation of these endangered species. After you will transfer back to Kigali for your return flight back home. Lunch will either be packed or served after trekking. End of Safari.
