Day 1: Arrival at the Airport, then transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
On your arrival, the driver guide will pick you up & then transfer you to Rwanda’s province in the South (Nyungwe Forest National Park).
It shelters 13 wonderful primate species like chimpanzees, Rwenzori colobus, Black & white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, Baboons, Owl-faced monkeys, etc. It consumes about 4- 5 hrs from Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park, continue, check-in, relax, Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking & canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Enjoy your breakfast, then proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park offices where you will be briefed on the set of tips that you have to follow while tracking these endangered species (chimpanzees) in their natural homes, once located, your chance to learn more about their ways, body behaviors & also take a moment to take photos.
While on this activity (chimpanzee tracking), you can also be able to spot other different primates like L’Hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, to mention but a few, plus the varied bird species (310) such as the long-tailed bluebird, paradise flycatcher, the Great blue turaco, etc.
Return back to your lodge, relax, have lunch. Get ready for the afternoon canopy walk where you will spot several species that reside in the Tropical Rainforest National park. On this walk (Canopy walk) you will have a chance to have a glimpse at various plants, colorful butterflies, birds among others. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure
Have an early morning hot cup of tea/ coffee, check out, then set off to Butare museum & Nyanza Palace for a cultural trip, lunch then proceed to Kigali while you enjoy spotting the beautiful countryside.
