Detailed Itinerary 13 Days Garden Route & Lesotho Safari
Day 1: Cape Town – Hermanus-The Cape Whale Coast Route
We will transfer straight from the active Cape town city center through the vineyards all the way reaching Hermanus-the coastal town, have a stopover at Stony Point Nature Reserve-the hugest refinement of the incredible African Penguin, then the primeval stretch of South Africa –Cape Whale Coast, comprised of farms, villages, rivers, caves, valleys plus bays & runs through the town of Rooiels (about 150km) towards the East.
Day 2: Oudtshoorn –Route 62
Oudtshoorn is recognized as the Ostrich capital of the world, therefore after crossing the Hottentots –Holland Mountains-Klein Karoo, then reaching this destination (Oudtshoorn), proceed to the picturesque Route 62, where you will have a stopover so as to eye witness & spot a range of farm stands laterally on the way
Day 3: Cango Caves & the Garden Route
Breakfast, then embark on your directed trip to the Cango caves, eye witnessing the amazing creations that have moulded in these striking limestone caves.
And so when returning out of the caves you will proceed to the Outeniqua mountains, then reach the lovely Garden Route shoreline where you could later on/rest of your days engage in the optional activities therein such as Hiking, lessening up at the beach, etc. Garden Route is a gem containing a series of lovely beaches.
Day 4,5: Tsitsikamma
This is one of South Africa ‘s National Park’s best aquatic reserves where you will get ready to discover its rugged shoreline in the morning while on foot.
You also hike along the waterfall path covering the 1st section of the world famous Otter trail-this is noticed as a difficult trail though, so then after your hike return back, get an opportunity to do relish the Woodcutters excursion in the afternoon where you will encounter the strikingly of Tsitsikamma Biome, it’s both plant & animal life plus its past inclusive.
Day 6: Jeffrey’s Bay & the Greater Addo Elephant National Park Area
Transfer to the Eastern Cape & Addo National Park in the morning, have a stopover in the Surfing of Jeffrey’s Bay prominent for the incredible waves, then get the chance to tour the tiny surfing museum, hook up a wave/have a cup of coffee which highly watching/overseeing the whitecaps/waves. Afternoon then proceed to Addo National Park (it shelters a series of wildlife plus the Notorious Big five), also highly pursuing the Elephants.
Day 7: Greater Addo Elephant National Park Area
An option posed your way to tour Port Elizabeth, then in the afternoon embark on touring the Addo (prominent for Elephant populace where they titled the park from).
Due to the existence of the exclusive vegetation therein this has enabled the National Park to shelter a series of wildlife, hence causing you to try to find them while on your trip in the park.
Day 8: Graaff Reinet

Day 9,10: Malealea- Lesotho
on day 9-10 of 13 Days Garden Route & Lesotho Safari, after having breakfast, then transfer to Lesotho, & here we will engage in discovering the mountains while on foot, ending with a tour to the village & getting to know more about their lifestyle, their survival in the mountains, etc. People from Lesotho/Basotho are famous for their cultural making of Hats, blankets, secure steeds (known for their surefootedness in the mountains), to mention but a few, where you could involve in the optional pony trek.
Day 11: Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park- South Africa
Transfer via the sandstone bluffs of the Golden gate, heading to the mountains of the Drakensberg. This park is under UNESCO World Heritage Site, consecutively the span of the Kwazulu-Natal province. You can call it Ukhahlamba (meaning ‘Barrier of Spears’ in Zulu) / Drakensberg (meaning ‘Dragon mountains’ in Afrikaans ‘way of naming). Those who love to hike & also discover in the mountains this is the finest destination for you.
Day 12: Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park
After having breakfast, then get ready to set off for your hike activity in the mountains, but as you transfer along you will get an opportunity to spot the San rock Art with an indigenous guide
Day 13: Departure
Enjoy your breakfast, then transfer back to the Airport for your departure flight back home.
