Detailed Itinerary of 12 Days Uganda Safari wildlife & gorilla trekking  in Bwindi

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls National park

On the first day of 12 Days Uganda Safari wildlife & gorilla trekking  in Bwindi You will meet up with your guide driver, brief you about the safari and embark on the journey passing through Luwero town, a visit at the ziwa Rhino sanctuary for tracking both the white and black Rhinos for an hour which cost only $40 dollars, another stop in Masindi for a lunch break, later embark on your journey to Murchison falls National Park reaching in the evening, Up arrival you will go to the top of the falls, viewing the beautiful falls clearly, the ground here seems to sharking don’t be frightened, the falls drop down at 43 meter making the shaking, a thunderous roar and a rainbow made by the splashing water. After head at a lodge of your choice check in have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Day 2 of 12 Days Uganda Safari wildlife & gorilla trekking  in Bwindi Wake up very early, have breakfast and go for a game drive in the park, you will see elephants, lions, antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes and many other species. Head back at the lodge for lunch as you prepare for the following adventure.

After lunch go for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the falls, words can’t explain the feeling of watching these amazing falls from the bottom, you will be in position to see more animals like elephants, crocodiles, hippos, bird species like bee eaters, colored king fishers, shoe bill stork, grey throated among other. The boat will leave you at the bottom, you will have a hike to the top meet up with your guide driver and head back to the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national Park

Day 4: Engage in Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest and Bigodi

wake up very early in the morning, have a very early breakfast after which your guide driver will take you to the park headquarters for briefing on the rules that govern the forest while in Kibale forest by the park rangers. The forest harbors 13 primate species, you will go for chimpanzee trekking as well as spotting other primates like baboons, L’Hoests monkeys, Blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, bird species and other wildlife like elephants, antelopes, buffaloes. Searching for these creatures can run from 2-6 hours of tracking, you will hear their pant hooting calls and know that they are around the corner, hurry to the place where they are calling from. on meeting the chimpanzee, you will be given an hour watching them play, breast feed, communicate among others. Chimpanzees are very exciting and close encounter will reward you with a memorable experience of the trip, tracking chimpanzee in their nature home sounds horrible yet it’s one of the things one should do before leaving the world. These primates share 80% of human DNA. Other specie you will notice in the forest include L’Hoests monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, pottos, bush babies among other, a number of bird species will also be seen like green breasted pitta, black bee spotted eater, rumped tinker bird, crowed eagle, little green bul, yellow spotted nictor among others. After tracking head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland where you will see more wildlife like birds, baboons, bush babies etc., bird species like breasted pitta, blue turaco among others. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, fifth day of  12 Days Uganda Safari wildlife & gorilla trekking  in Bwindi, you move for nurture walk at the park and Commence with the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the park is famous for variety of wildlife species including the climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of the park, elephants, Kobs, hippos, buffaloes, impalas, among other, primates in the Maramagambo forest, the famous Kazinga channel the separate Lake George from Edward. Day 6: Game drive and Afternoon boat cruise

Day 7: A nature walk with in Maramagambo forest and game drive

This forest harbors butterflies, birds, bats, primates like chimpanzees in the kyambura gorge in the forest, tree species, visit the volcanic caves home to bats “note that no flash cameras allowed in the caves”, blue lake kimeranjo which is believed to have swallowed an elephant hence the name. this hike will still take you to the crater lakes. Enough water is an essential to carry and walking stick for those that are not fit.

After have lunch at the lodge, go for a game drive in the Ishasha sector and gaze at the climbing lions and various wildlife. Head back at the lodge have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizbeth Nation park you will pass after having a heavy break fast and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, climbing lions will be spotted in the sector and other wildlife animals. A stop over for lunch will be availed, arrive in the park, check in at the lodge and go for a nature walk around, head back have dinner and night stay.

Day 9: explore Bwindi Impenetrable National park

This day 9 of 12 Days Uganda Safari wildlife & gorilla trekking in Bwindi requires you to wake up very early in the morning have breakfast, when moving for Uganda bwindi gorilla trekking, carry packed lunch, enough drinking water, hiking shoes, rain jacket. Awaking stick is a must and they are available at the forest entrance for hire, you will meet up with your guide driver and head to the park head quarters for briefing and at 8:00 am commence with the journey of  gorilla trekking bwindi,  searching for these creatures can run from 2-8 hours depending on where they nested the previous night. On meeting them, you will be allocated one hour to spend with them in their nature environment, remember these Apes can’t survive any where outside their natural home. You will also spot other wild life like tree species, birds, monkeys like the black and white colobus monkeys.

After head back to the lodge and later in the evening go for a guided nature walk in the neighboring communities. Later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Up on your arrival check in at the lodge of your choice and go for a nature walk in the park, later return to the lodge have dinner and a night stay.

Day 11: Game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

Return at the lodge for lunch and later go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo more wild animals will be seen like crocodiles, hippos, zebras among others. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
