5 Days Rwanda Primate Safari
The 5 days Rwanda Primate safari is a great adventure for tourists who are primate lovers of mountain gorilla trekking, chimpanzee, monkey and other primates. This safari will take you to the Volcanoes national park in the forest of Nyungwe and also a relief on the cultural communities of the Iby’lwacu village. Along with Gorilla trekking, Volcanoes national park is a home of the endangered mountain gorillas that habit about 10 mountain gorilla families, that perfect trek and these include Kwitonda, Susa, Agashya, Umubano, Hire, Uganda, Sabyinyo, among others. The Nyungwe forest is a home of about 13 primate species with a large population of Chimpanzees, the golden monkey tracking giving a chance to see the cute monkeys in the bamboo zone.

Detailed itinerary
Day One: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day one of the 5 days Rwanda primates safari will arrive in Rwanda through the Kigali international airport where you will be picked up by our driver at the airport and transferred you to the capital. Depending on the time of arrival you will have a simple short time city tour before you travel to the park. Have lunch at a nice hotel and then embark on the journey to Volcanoes national park, on arrival at the park you will check in at the lodge where you will have dinner and a night stay.

Day Two : Mountain Gorilla Trekking
The second day of the package is full for meeting up with the gorillas on the mountain gorilla trekking experience, exactly after the early morning breakfast at your lodge will be picked up for briefing at the park headquarters before trekking. You will be briefed about the do’s and don’ts while in the gorilla fields, and will be escorted by an armed ranger who will take you through the forest while trekking the gorillas. will spend at least a full 1 hour with the gorillas while taking photos without flash lights, interacting with them then will return back to the park headquarters for lunch at their lodge and in the afternoon will have some games and sports at the lodge then have dinner in the evening and a night over stay.
Day Three: Nyungwe forest and monkey tracing
On the 3rd day of our package, after the morning breakfast at the lodge will head to the park for rangers to take you through a briefing on monkey tracing. After the briefing you will head to the bamboo zone in search of the golden monkeys as you enjoy seeing these primates playing on trees and will also have time to take photos and pictures. After the experience you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon will embark to Nyungwe forest national park where you will have a relaxed forest walk as you see all the vegetation cover and some wildlife species like birds. after amazing experience in the forest, we will return to the Nyungwe Forest Park headquarters where we will check in at the lodge for dinner and night over.

Day Four: Forest canopy walk and chimpanzee tracking
On the 4th day of the package you are to be picked up in the morning after the early breakfast, briefed on the rules and regulations before we set off for the chimpanzee. the forest is the home of about 13 primates who live in this park, on the hiking in the park when you find chimpanzees should spend at least an hour interacting with them as you know how they feed, age, life span, sex, among other characters. After the trek will return to the lodge for lunch and after some relaxation you will go out for a Forest canopy walk through the forest as your able to see the different bird and tree species. The canopy walk is done in the evening to avoid the extreme coldness of the forest as you can have a brighter view through the woods, after this exciting adventure you will return to the lodge for dinner and sleepover.
Day Five : Returning back to Kigali
On the last day of the package you will wake up on a relaxed breakfast as you pack up all your belongings and then will checkout at the lodge then the driver/guide will meet up with you as we embark on the Kigali return journey. In Kigali will have a short time city tour where you can have a chance to see the memorial genocide center and some markets for shopping, you will be dropped at the hotel or at the airport.
