Introduction:
The Great Migration as it is known by many, is the movement of a million plus wildebeest from Serengeti in Tanzania northwards into the adjoining Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya. This is one of the world’s most spectacular and thrilling display of wildlife behavior. This practice takes place every year with the animals’ primal instincts guiding them towards greener areas following the climatic rain fall patterns over the Serengeti-Maasai Mara eco system.
Although numbers keep changing every year, reality has it that up to 1.5 million wildebeest, close to a million Zebra and large numbers of other animals undertake this long trek that lasts for many weeks. Their journey is filled up with danger as they cross the crocodile infested Mara and Talek rivers along the way. As a result of this, many animals cannot escape the giant Nile crocodiles lying in the waters, readily wait for their prey.
The Big five game animals are none other than the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and African buffalo. This term was introduced by the big-game hunters to refer to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt.

While at the wildebeest migration adventure, you will enjoy the lions’ hunting activity as a lioness runs for a distance of 100 meters in just six seconds, though it does not maintain this speed due to the too much energy that it uses.
Uganda has about half of the world’s total mountain gorilla population. These are too rare creatures and interesting to watch. Trekking mountain gorillas is a dream to many and a big number of tourists visit Bwindi impenetrable national park in Uganda yearly, specifically for this activity.

Itinerary breakdown;
Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi international airport to Maasai Mara National Reserve.
From Jomo Kenyatta Airport, meet our professional safari guide for a meet and greet, and as well briefing about your trip. Thereafter, you will drive for about 5-6 hours to the Southwest, Narok county in Kenya to visit Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day 2 – 3: You will enjoy an exclusive game drive & wildebeest migration experience
For these two days of game drive and wildebeest migration experience in Masai Mara, your day starts with breakfast. Expect to keep an eye on a range of wildlife from wildebeest, elands, giraffes, big five all living in the same habitat, birds, antelopes, zebras, and many more animals
Day 4: Travel to the airstrip in Kenya and fly to Entebbe Airport
You will rise up early for your breakfast. Afterwards, you will continue to the airstrip to catch up with a connecting flight to Entebbe airport in Uganda. Our professional guide will be readily available to pick you up, for your transfer to the hotel or for a brief city tour -visit UWEC or botanical gardens in Entebbe.
Day 5: From Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the fifth day of your trip, you will transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in Southwestern Uganda and this time round, you will use a 4×4 tourist vehicle. While on your way, you will have a stopover at the equator. You will stand on the Northern & Southern hemispheres to take pictures before proceeding to have lunch in Igongo or similar.
Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi & Batwa Tour
After your early morning breakfast, you will drive or walk to the briefing area to get insight and guidelines about gorilla trekking before setting off for the activity.
There are 4 main areas for gorilla trekking in Bwindi namely; Buhoma, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Ruhija.
After briefing, you will set off for the actual search for gorillas at 8:00am. This activity is expected to last for about 2-6 hours while in the forest, but it includes one hour of magical encounter with a family of mountain gorillas once found.
After this wonderful activity, you will be awarded a gorilla trekking certificate. In the evening of this very day, you will relax at the lodge or go for a guided cultural tour in the Batwa community still within Bwindi.
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe for your departure
After breakfast on your seventh day, you will check out of the accommodation facility along with your packed lunch. Our professional driver will transfer you back to Kampala or Entebbe for your return home.
