4 days takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park & chimps, this 4 days takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives and Chimpanzee Trekking. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most visited park, it is famously known for its tree climbing lions and its name it got from the late Queen Elizabeth II of England after her visit to Uganda. The park is located in western Uganda approximately 376 km from Kampala town via Masaka-Mbarara high way. You will spot a number of wild animals like lions, elephants, antelopes, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes among others. The park has a number of primates in Kyambura gorge like chimpanzee, vervet monkeys, baboons, among others. The park’s water animals will be spotted during a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel like Nile crocodiles, hippos, and water birds.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will be picked up from your located by our company representative who is also your guide driver, get a briefing about the trip and then start your journey Queen Elizabeth National Park via Masaka-Mbarara highway. A stop over at the equator in masaka, you will take as many photos as you wish and embark on the journey. Another stop will be in Mbarara for a lunch break and en-route. On reaching the park you will go for a night game drive if time allows and after head to the prior booked lodge for dinner and night rest.

Day 2: Morning game drive and Evening boat cruise
After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive, this is the most effective game drive while the animals are active looking for a morning meal, some of the wild animals to spot include buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, big cats, antelopes, primates and more. After the drive return to the lodge for a lunch break.
After lunch, you driver will take you to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The channel has the highest concentration of Hippos in the world, the cruise will late for an hour where you will spot the park’s water animals like Nile crocodiles, hippos, water birds other animals on the shores like elephants, buffaloes among others. Retreat to the lodge and have dinner served and Overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Evening Community Walk
You will wake to a heavy breakfast earlier than usual and transfer to the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee trekking, you will be brief about the dos and don’ts while in the forest and commence your search lead by a park ranger, it can take several hours depending on where the chimps are located and on their moving speed. On meeting then you will be allocated a full hour to watch them play, Breast feed, eat, jump from branch to branch, rest among others. After head back to the lodge for a lunch break and relaxation.
Later in the afternoon you will go for a cultural tour in the local communities neighboring the Park, you will interact with the local people, they take you through their history, day to day life, enjoy local dances and music form the cultural groups in the community. Return to the lodge for dinner and night rest.

Day 4: Departure
You will wake up at your convenient time for a morning meal as you enjoy the lodge environment and services. After carry your bags and start you transfer to back to Kampala, lunch will be served along the way. Up on arrival your guide driver will drop you at your convenient destination either a residence or hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or at the airport to catch your flight back home depending on your flight schedule.
