Detailed Itinerary of 4 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi safari
Day 1: Kampala To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked by our company representative form a hotel or residence in Kampala/Entebbe after breakfast, you will be briefed about the safari and commence your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Masaka-Mbarara high way. The first stop will be in Masaka at the equator where you will carry out experiments, take as many photos as you want and later embark on your journey to Bwindi. The next stop will be in Mbarara for a lunch break and en-route passing through rolling hills, the terraced Kazinga Highlands, Banana plantations, local markets and people, crater lakes among others.
The drive to the park is very long and tiring but very rewarding because of the many things you spot along the way. On reaching the park, check in at a prior booked accommodation for dinner and night stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Encounter
On your second day of the 4 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi safari, you will be required to wake up earlier than usual for a heavy breakfast, carry packed lunch, enough drinking water and meet with you driver who will transfer you to the Park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the forest. At 8:00 am you will commence your hike to the forest led by an experienced park guide, hiking sticks are available at the HQ for support, Gorilla trekking requires one to be mentally and physically fit cause it can become very tiring as it goes on but meeting the Apes will wash away all the pain and hustle you went through to get to them. the hike takes form 2-6 hours depending on where the gorillas hosted their previous night and on your trekking speed. On meeting these endangered mountain Gorillas, you will be allocated a full hour to spend with them in their natural habitat, get a chance to watch them play, breast fees, communicate among others. After the full hour you will hike slowly back to the park Headquarters where you will be rewarded trekking certificates to justify your contribution to the conservation process of these endangered species.
After you will go for a cultural encounter in the Batwa Pygmy community, they were hunters and gatherers, they were the natives of the forest before it was gazetted as a park. They take you through their history and how they used to survive in the forest. Later return to the lodge for dinner and over night rest as you reflect on how amazing the day went.

Day 3: Transfer to Bunyonyi
Day 3 of 4 days gorilla trekking and lake bunyonyi safari, after breakfast you will start your transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, the lake is a great destination for birders. Upon arrival you will be given a lively welcome by the sweet sounds of the birds, you will go for a canoe trip on the lake and get a chance to see countless bird species, landscapes, the lake’s 29 islands, communities among others. You are allowed to take as much photos as you wish to keep the memories living. After go for a lunch break at your booked lodge.
After lunch you will engage in a number of activities like ziplining, swimming, community walk among other activities. Later head to the lodge for dinner and night rest.
